Re: Rax/Maz/Jimbo 2020 Games Thread: "S.T.A.R.S...."

Hmm, sounds annoying. We’re only 2 levels into world 3 now. Paying both 2 player and 1 player; often 1 player ends up easier; so I’ll press on and beat a level if my wife and I get stuck for too long trying it together.

New app for my DVD collection

I've been using filmaf.com for a very long time; it's free but not great. And getting worse with bugs and such. Anyway, I started using CLZ; today I finished scanning in the last of my movies; and also updating the ones I haven't yet seen as appropriate. You can view my collection online here: https...

I only saw the first episode of Ash vs the Evil Dead; thought it was fine. Big fan of Army of Darkness. 33. All the Money in the World - I liked this. I called Scott pretentious after Covenant; but that same thing works much better here; when he's addressing the problems of the super-rich. Amazing t...

A friend of mine really loves it; says the story is one of the best aspects.

Also just bought the FFVIII remaster on the Switch sale. One of my all-time favorite games.

Free arms to try? Sounds worth checking out!

Have you played Octopath Traveller? It's on sale on the eShop for 50% right now; gonna get it based on recommendations.

At least Arms makes sense... it's a new Nintendo game; and a fighting game at that.

31. Tremors - Bad, but fun and good also. Filled with 80s cheese; even though it technically came out in the 90s (just barely). Apparently it would have been 80s except they had to delay it so they could make some various edits to get it to PG-13. lol, I noticed while watching it that the line "...

Beat 2 more levels last night. We still have 1 level left in the first world; though we could move onto the second world if we wanted. Yeah 3 HP is definitely punishing. There's the upgrade to get a 4th HP, but hard to know if it's worth it given the "slightly decreased damage" and also gi...

30. Australia - I really liked it. A very different Baz movie. In the first few minutes I could see some of his usual style; but basically none after that. As for the "twist", I never really saw it as a big twist... it's not like we thought that the "flash-sideways" world was just a normal part of their normal reality... it was always going to be an alternate dimension, or an after-life, or a different timeline, etc. We didn't know ...

To me, the reason for leaving (plot-wise) is pretty simple... it's just "absence makes the heart grow fonder" or "you never know what you had until it's gone"... a reason for the characters to realize that they need the island. Man I love Daniel as a character. The way he talks i...
