I actually liked his apology. Straightforward. Admits he was in the wrong. It makes him look genuinely forgivably
human, rather than wretchedly
human. Of course, he may still be the latter. But the apology was a breath of fresh air compared to the many political apologies that read: "I'm sorry if some people were offended..."
